People are pretty unimpressed about the handling of going into Iraq.

There is a danger they might actually need real evidence of a proper reason to invade another country next time round.

Picky bastards.
If the Brits are as dumb as we are, they can be fooled into supporting anything. The media will hype the whole nuclear threat Iran poses, or maybe the intelligence agencies will stage something in Israel and blame it on Iran, or something of the sort. Or maybe Iran will shoot down a plane or fire on a ship in Hormuz -- for real, not like Cheney trying to stage something.

As long as there is a perceived threat, the Neo-Cunts can get anything done.

Maybe.

I think there'll have to be clearer evidence to convince the general public that Britain should go to war again.

Whether that evidence is real or fabricated is, of course, a different matter.

And give it ten years and any lessons learned from Iraq/Afghanistan will be long forgotten and anything will be possible again.

I think it will take more to convince the public here as well, but it still might not take much. If you have 40% of Oklahomans discussing Sharia Law, then any possible threat from anywhere in Towel Head Land can be exploited. I wouldn't be surprised if they just came out to say Iran is waging economic terrorism against us through dumping the dollar, so we're going to bomb you. Anything is possible nowadays.
