You just saw that? That shit has been going around for weeks now. Apparently this priest thinks he's sending a message to the radical muslims by doing so, the radical bastard :howler:

That's a total non-story in my opinion. It's a 50 person church in a trailer park in florida.

The best thing the media could have done would be to not cover the story.

Instead they should focus on the fact that almost 10 years after the fact, ground zero is still a hole in the ground that no one really cares about.

He's not a priest. I don't think he's even denominational, just an idiot that made his own church.

He's an idiot alright but from what I read he is in fact a baptist priest who was charged with child pornography too :howler:
Just an FYI: Baptists don't have priests. They call the position a minister. Only Catholics and Anglicans have priests.

I mean that his current church doesn't have a denomination. But yeah the dude has no credibility. No reason to even mention him.

But where would the media be without these stories?

'Lone idiot to burn koran' isn't going to get the masses interested.

In the same way that there wouldn't be a story if people looked at the facts surrounding the so called Ground Zero Mosque.

All dull stuff designed to get people angry over nothing.

It might just be one "church" that started it, but others will probably join in as well. There are lunatic churches all over the place in this country.

I guess burning a Quoran is better than protesting a dead soldier's funeral, which that other waste-of-space organization does all the time.

So to all extremists, go after those places, not the general public.

That's the entire reason the media shouldn't give it so much credit. No we have the assumption that everyone will be burning Korans.

For the most part churches around the nation will do tasteful ceremonies or vigils.

The best part was when they found that there's already a small mosque 5 blocks away.

This whole "Islam in America" debate is just 911 exploitation. We never discussed "Christian dumbasses in America" after Oklahoma City, we certainly don't discuss them when they blow up abortion clinics or protest funerals.
