In Dubai?

Of course.

Two Arab countries where alcohol is strictly prohibited: Saudi Arabia, and my very own country. The two countries also have the only two airlines that do not serve Alcohol.

Actually, there has been movement by some people in the Libyan government to allow alcohol in Libya, in order to boost tourism, but there has been a big backlash from people, and nobody in Libya wants Alcohol to be allowed.
Cool. I knew it was completely prohibited in some countries, and available in some.

So in other countries, barring Dubai, they do go to jail?

You mean other Emirates?

Like i said, its a federal system, so its applied differently from Emirate to Emirate. The Emirate i live in is strictly conservative, and probably enforces these laws more than others.

Is it good for you?

How's in the other Emirates?
I agree with the law yes.

Yeah, well they've been brought up with the mentality that sex outside marriage it's bad, obscene etc. So yeah, keeping in mind that, it's probably considered a good thing by them.

As i said, things as good and bad are almost entirely subjective.
:agree:

Same with what Fred just said about alcohol in Libya. Reminds me of Cubans -- most of them think Fidel and the Revolution is the best thing ever because it's how they were raised and it's the only thing they've been allowed to experience...

Don't roll your eyes at me, I'm not belittling your country/culture nor judging it!
I know you're not. Thats not what i meant either. But you implying that muslims not having pre marital sex is like Cubans being indoctrinated into socialist ideas and Castro's greatness is what i'm rolling my eyes at.

I wasn't only talking about pre marital sex. I was talking in general (alcohol, pre marital sex, having multiple wives...)

    I know.

But why did you include that with things Muslims aren't allowed to do?

The first two are accepted in western culture but shunned by muslims. That one is the exact opposite.
