Thanks for asking. I usually call him up(though I have tried text message and IM's too) and tell him I want to take the day off. Sometimes, I state a reason. Regardless of what I say, his first reponse is "OK" without asking for a good explanation. It's always been like this. Such phone calls hardly last 10 seconds.
