Great. People I've driven with also say it should go well, so I'm going to do it. I've always liked the idea of driving to Southern Europe, but I've never had the car nor the right friends to do it with.
Just joking man. Italians always make fun of Americans because they can't drive manuals. Don't even know if it's true, but I do hear manual cars are the exception in the US.
Be patient going up the mountain. If you don't drive your vehicle up steep inclines often or your engine isn't 6 cylinders you'll probably experience a slight drop in power. Just refrain from trying to hammer up the mountain and enjoy the sights. And have fun on the way down.
I spent part of a summer driving the Northern Rockies.
Just billed another 3 hours, take that internship!
What about going down the mountain? I always assumed that would be more difficult as you don't want to fry your brakes and I bet I'll be real slow the first time I'm going downhill. I assume I would shift gears and let the engine do much of the braking as they say?

i don't know who built it...us ? Well i donno about speeding, there are sectors in which you can test your car with no problem...no police is up there. I can't wait till july to take my audi up there.
I only know Click 4 Sky which does Prague - Split IIRC and which a mate wanted to use (but didn't in the end). But as far as I know the quickest way from Split to Dubrovnik would be a bus ride. Train is impossible. There's also a ferry I think. Either way you'd lose a lot of time.
Have you asked Alen? He must know more about this.
