I started school when I was 4 too and graduated from high school when I was 17. I don't get how you got through elementary/middle/high schools and college in 12 years

I went to school when i was four and a half, in Scotland.

Because in the U.A.E like most Arabian countries, school consists of 12 grades so when he registered to the school in there he was registered as a first grader although he was only 4 while all the others in his class were 6. So instead of graduating at the age of 18 as he supposed to he graduated at 16.

Yeah same here. I'm guessing he graduated from what we consider high school at 16. Now he is graduating from university (getting what would be a bachelors degre) at age 20.

I would have gotten my bachelors at 21 if I hadn't lived a year abroad and if universities lasted 4 years here (they last 5)
Well they do last here for 5 years too but only for engineering majors, other majors are usually 4 years.

And why did you live abroad fabi? pleasure, studying, business..?

Engineering lasts here usually longer too, thankfully I got it done in five years because I only failed one class:D

I went abroad to "learn" english (I already knew it but I didn't want to start uni right after I graduated from HS)
