All extremely boring.

Geographical Information Systems - sounds somewhat interesting but that's only because of the name of the course

The Environment in Film - WTH do you actually do in this class? do you actually get to watch films or are they all 1960's projector reels

We watch films and analyze them, we're starting with the very basic ones like Disney shorts, Bambi, Nanook of the North, etc and that can get boring. It should pick up when we get to more modern films.

Our professor is in charge of the national archives for the US fish and wildlife service so he's got some pretty good resources and most of it has been converted to DVD, so we don't roll with the projector.


GIS is what people do when they take points using a GPS system. The course involves learning software that allows you to layout maps.
