I majored in Electronics :D
Most companies prefer either Electronics or Computer Science graduates. But sometimes they do allow even Mechanical Engineering graduates to work as software engineers...
I see :)

I asked you coz Im studying Computer Science now and Im thinking about changing my major as I don't feel that programming is my thing. Im more into hardware than software.

Some of them turn out to be crap. But sometimes a few of them turn out to be brilliant. I've seen a couple of guys in my company who have graduated as Mechanical Engineers and are really really good at programming. I think its a matter of them graduating in the wrong stream.

Computer hardware or hardware (electronics) in general?

Yeah, that's probably true. Programming is a funny thing. Either you got it or you... don't :D

No, I'll probably go for the electonics. What do you suggest?
Electronics is a very good field if you have interest in it. I opted for it because most of my friends were doing it :)D) even though I was more interested in Computer Science. But that didn't hinder my job prospects in the IT field because most of the courses here have some sort of IT subjects in it. So if you opt for electronics but want to switch to Computer science after you graduate, you can still do it. Electronics is a very interesting field if you put your head in it :)

I wanna feel the feeling or writing, backtracing and debugging a program once again. Too bad I'm too fuckin' lazy to do it! :sergio:
Its a funny thing. I never enjoyed programming as part of a development team. One of the main reasons I switched back to support. But I enjoy coding on my own. Finally I've gotten over my laziness and slowly started crawling back to small time programming.

I've been wanting to do this for a LONG time.
more satisfying than a sandwich

No one cares about Susan's opinion. At least certainly not me.

Speaking of sandwich, I'm hungry. :lick:

Thanks man, but the problem with my decision is that I want to avoid programming as much as I can when I enter the Computer feild even though im good in it but I just don't feel like programming and debugging for the next 20-40 years of my life, it too damn boring :frown:

Im thinking of taking the "Network" feild instead of "Internet Secuirity" that calls for too much knowledge in different programming codes.

The Neo Sports that broadcasts here is specialized in Cricket and only in Cricket.
