Only last year? There have been countless times in the past where the Brier's or poker (this irks me moreso, there is no movement involved) has been on instead of something more important internationally-speaking.

I was more pissed last year, but i have always been. you are right regarding poker, sport channels here like to fill their schedule with poker. With Obama winning the Nobel Prize, recession-creator himself Ben Bernanke being named "Man of the Year" for supposedly steering us away from another Great Depression (which is most likely still coming and will be worse because of his policies), and now the Tiger Woods award, this has to be the biggest joke, 1984-like year in history.

So I'm starting a new prize named "The Year with the Most Idiotic Award Choices". 2009 is the winner.

I grew up listening to the Loop. Heck, I was a card-carrying member of the Insane Coho Lips when Steve Dahl blew up disco records at the old Comiskey.

But the hilarious part is whenever I return, they're still playing the same shit on the radio as when I left 20 years ago. I mean, who plays Billy Squier anywhere else in the world anymore?

And yeah -- all morning radio shows suck.
