personally I didn't believe the whole banning JBF thing was just.
I do think that the court thing would have been a very good idea for more serious arguments that have happened in the past, this just want the right time to do it.
However, I think there needs to be some reforms in the way that it is run:
Firstly there needs to be some kind of constitution (the forum rules)
The mods should act as the council: You do the banning of compensation based on what the decision is. You get to take a member to court if you want so it would be Juventuz v X, alternatively, if there is a member who wants to take a mod to court they should be able to. for arguments sake you lot should also decide what time court hearings take place. You decide the jury also of 9 members(so there are no tied decisions), at Random which is extremely fundamental, don't just pick and choose on members you like, it's not fair.
There should be a a few judges, for arguments sake lets say red, because he is a pretty advanced law student and sergio because he always seems to know what he's on about.
There should be a set team of lawyers, who can be assigned to either the defendant/respondant or prosecutor/claimant. For example there could be 6 lawyers, Andy, Alen, Osman, Deneb, Valtko and myself (seeing as I'm a law student).
The court process will go ahead then for an hour (or what ever amount of time is decided, keep it reasonable though as we ahave lives to be getting on with)
There needs to be some sort of court conduct, I suggest a premoderated thread to keep out the rubbish that we got in the last one, therefore we stick to the topic, just the judge, the prosectutor and his representive and the defendant and his representive should be allowed to comment, everyone else, only view, and when the time is up close the thread to for sensible reasons.
After, each member of the jury shoud PM the juge giving their decision of who wins the case. Obviously if the defendant gets 6 votes of winning the case in order to only 3 for the prosecutor, then he wins and should be awarded damages or what ever the judge who in charge of the courtroom reasonably thinks at the time. Obviously the Judge dishes out the punishments as in every court room across the world.
Then we can leave the thread open for whoever wishes to comment.
