i was sooooooo hungry i was frying burgers and i think i must have completely forgotten to switch off the flame and went back into the ac andthe oil just heated up until it catched fire. def the dumbest thing ever

Shit happens, glad you're alright.

A few years ago an old roommate of mine was frying something in a pot and forgot it on the stove and the alarms starting going off. So myself and another roommate came out into the hallway all confused and we see the guy (who had apparently fallen asleep) running down the hallway into the kitchen and picked up the flaming pot then ran back into the hallway. As he's running flames from the top of the pot fly out (yeah literally) hit and burn the carpet. He runs into the bathroom and puts the pot into the tub and turns on the water (a big no no) and the next thing we see is a mushroom cloud of greasy oily fumes moving towards us. I swear to God it looked like Hiroshima after the bombing and was probably the funniest moment in college.
