I've got a terrible sore throat. I've been having those a lot in the past few months. I'm probably going to have my tonsils removed now. Anybody have his tonsils removed?

I did. Not the best of experiences, but I was fine.

What happens is you go under in a deep anesthesia, they remove tonsils with a laser and scalp, and then inject some antibodies into the area.

It took a couple weeks for the pain to go away; a sharp needle-like pain in the throat that makes one not want to eat or drink. But for me it worked out well because I lost weight and ended up being more suited for soccer the next season.

It's scary if you haven't had surgery before, but don't sweat it dude. Get those out. I was like 12 when I had mine out, so you're older and can deal with it much better.

Removing the tonsils is better in the long run.

God man, i didn't expect it to be that serious. I thought it was a simple operation. Was planning to get it done before my summer vacation. But don't want it to spoil my vacation to be honest. So i think i'll postpone it a bit
