I'm not going to get into your discussion, but:
do you think that times might change? Could there ever be a point where they would consider showing less commercials and more of the game? I'm asking because a lot of American sports are actually spectacular to watch and I think that if there wouldn't be so many commercials and people would be able to get into the game more people would watch.
Another thing is that it seems to become quite popular in some European countries too. RAI for example always show a commercial whenever there's a substitution or a freekick that takes too long.

You think that is bad? Don't even go near the 'Indian Premier League - Cricket' it's just a plethora of marketing whorage. There's advertising on the borders of the screen when regular play is going on. Hell, they even changed a play in the game for when you hit a 6, it was known as a 'DHL'. Freakin madness.
