I remember failing my written exam before I finally could learn how to drive a car.

But I have to say that the exam is not right in Belgium. You get a lot of questions on environmental issues and first aid and in a lot of cases the answers they want you to give simply aren't correct.

The question that made me take the test again for example was what you had to do when part of a guy's arm had been blown away. According to them the correct answer was apply pressure with a bandage. I'm sorry, but that's just not true. You'd be insane if you did that.

I didn't even have to take a class to get my license, nor a test. Perhaps that's not a good thing, but I have avoided four accidents in my life where others were breaking the law/fucking around.

Do I speed? Yes. Who doesn't. But I only speed when safe.

What the fuck? I don't think I could have switched gears without taking at least a couple of lessons from someone TBH.

ya, alot of the questions on this test were about carrying cargo on your bike and group riding. none of which are applicable to me. i also found out that alot of ppl who took the BRC (basic rider course) fail the written licensing test on the 1st try because the course doesn't prepare you for what the state covers on the exam. once again the state of texas comes up short

I got 10 first aid questions and 20 questions about the environment. And I disagreed with the right answers in most cases. I was bound to fail.

I got every question right that had remotely to do with driving.
Huh, are these exams different from region to region because the one I had was at junior high level. Didn't you study it? :D I don't remember having that many non-driving questions though.

There are like 50 sets of questions. I guess I got really unlucky. The questions that were about driving were really, really easy, yes. But I also got a couple of questions on chemistry, which I really suck at. And the questions about first aid I generally disagreed with. If a guy loses an arm, you don't give him a bandage, you try to make sure he doesn't lose any more blood.

No idea actually. I've never driven an automatic and I was not a natural with the gear shifts. :D
To be honest I still don't like driving. It's fun when you're all alone on the road, but most of the time it's plain annoying. I don't have a car myself, but even when I can get my hands on one I sometimes prefer to take the bus.

??

so you just turned 16 and got your license?
All I had to do was take an easy permit test about street signs, drive sixth months under the supervision of an adult, and then pass the driving test. In Pennsylvania, we don't need to take a class, thankfully.

I got my license right before my 18th. Parents are always worried.
