Grand Canyon is overrated. dont go there. So many better national parks around
I don’t know which part of the Grand Canyon you went to- the west (near Las Vegas) is an overpriced, underwhelming tourist trap from what I’ve heard, but the north rim certainly isn’t overrated-
View points above 8000 feet and 6000 feet deep gorges make for a magnificent view. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Ah, just saw this...

Anyone here been to Grand Canyon? Any recommendations for a 2 day trip?
I'm considering going for the Memorial Day weekend.
Yeah. Didn't do the more touristy South Rim. Did the North Rim job, which was nice. A lot of land to get through though, so you will drive a lot. Fortunately that area of the country is one of the best for driving.

And for a slight diversion you can swing by the drive-through movie set of Monument Valley in Navajo country.

It's pretty amazing. But it comes with so much hype that's hard to live up to.

Go to Southern Utah if you can. Forget the grand canyon
I generally agree here. All of the Big 5 are great.

Moab is a fun town. I love that place. Zion has some awesome hikes and Bryce Canyon is pretty otherworldly. Nearer to Moab Arches is good but overrun with foreign and domestic tourists. I'm more partial to the immense Canyonlands, which is really diverse but can be like the Grand Canyon's forgotten younger sibling.

They're not wearing masks!

On a flight for the first time since Covid. Found the lightest mask possible.

Personally, I would go to the Grand Canyon if I was taking a road trip and passing through. Otherwise I wouldn’t go there as the focal point of a trip. I can think of probably 100 places I would rather go to, but that’s just me.

north rim is great, plus you can also check out southern Utah stuff as well or even stay some like Laban which isn’t too expensive

When you’re on a flight and you can’t stop thinking about school shootings :shifty:
Nicely branded.

I guess black trenchcoats are out of fashion after Memorial Day.

Fucking migrants. The disgusting, stinky, roaming sort. They are destroying my city with their existance.
You don't mean British tourists, do you?

Well, you didn't mention yelling in the streets and profuse vomiting in the gutter, so maybe not... :shifty:

I don't know. I didn't ask for their info. There are more and more of them. Fucking disgusting to even see them and I'm literally pissed because they stole a bag from a girl I sat down with yesterday.
You need to calm down, this much hate is never good. The situation of the migrants in Serbia is surreal, your government is not handling it the right way

I don't hate. I simply don't want them anywhere near me. Believe me, I'm the first person to spit on our government, but I wouldn't put much blame on them. They are populating the city on various locations and they are usually either homeless or they received government help. So in quite many cases they even have a flat in the capital, which only says that they've gotten more help than I as a resident of the state. Sure, there are some good cases when they are normal. However, in most part they are doing horrible stuff. They rob people (my case isn't the only one, I've heard dozens), they steal from shops, they abuse girls with some attempts of rapes. Those examples are not that rare too. The last thing I feel for them is pity.

:touched:

Serbia isn't in the EU
Hopefully we won't become part of it too.

The government is getting a lot of money from the EU so that those people have something to eat and a place to live in dignity. Because they are not allowed to work. You as a resident don't get those money because you can work and have a place, beside that it was never meant to spend the received money for the residents. The government help for those flats is a joke, because they have to live 15-20 people in one flat. The very few cases who have the flat, have it because the government has to show the EU that the money is spent. All the money that should be invested for the migrants are going in the pockets of some politicians.

It is normal when you are homeless and the flat doesn't have shower that the body is beginning to stink.

You are generalizing very hard here. I would suggest you go there and talk with some, then you will understand what a inhuman existence their life is. Stealing to have something to eat is really bad. If Serbia comes in the EU it would help the situation but i guess your government doesn't want that because they are corrupt.

Do you have an example of "their backwards values"?
