I don’t see how that’s possible. I just googled some research papers linking those and they say the connection is not clear. If anything, it says once people lose weight, their thyroid gland goes back to normal levels. I mean, it’s impossible to gain weight if you eat little.

My friends mom is stuck with drinking medicine for the rest of her life. SHe's pretty huge and she was told she'd be even bigger if she stopped drinking medicine. Btw it's not really Jabba level of fat.

What’s her diet look like? Thyroid glands will mess up your metabolism but not to the point of being obese.

I’m saying, if she’s eating healthy and ~1500 calories a day, she shouldn’t be obese regardless of her thyroid gland. Maybe bloated or something but the weight has to come from somewhere. The body can’t just get bigger like that.
