When i was younger they used to keep a running count of the murders in oakland on the local news and compare it to the previous year. They would announce the amount of shootings and fatalities from the previous night each day.

Ive been back from school for about a year now and i dont think ive heard one mention of a murder in oakland on the news. But if a cop in SF tazes someone its all over the news for days.

Ive been wondering if its a mix of it not being politically correct to acknowledge the high black on black violence rate otlr people just not caring anymore
