Dude, I'm not even a woman and the first time I stepped out into Connaught Place in New Delhi, I was swarmed by an army of brown people. My first thought was "Oh shit, pickpocket attack." Instead it turned out they were all just curious and being friendly and asked questions.

And yes, I can attest to be something of a tourist attraction then myself -- fair-haired and about 198cm tall, I had people passing cameras around wanting to take selfies with me. A lot.

I'm not trying to dismiss your gf's experience as something threatening, because I wasn't there. And I know that situations can be different for women than for men. But what you described here sounds precisely like what I experienced ... as a dude ... only for me to later figure out that the threat was a lot more perceived than real. (I had a lot of other anecdotal evidence to suggest I wasn't under threat as an aside.)
Hmm.. My girlfriend and her mother have been travelling all over the world though. Apart from Australia and Antarctica she's been pretty much everywhere. What I mean is that she's not really the kind of person who would easily perceive a harmless situation as threatening.

And to be frank, if you're swarmed by an 'army of brown people' that is threatening in itself, regardless of their intentions.

By being a bitch or just not giving you those daily BJs you want? :p

I'm also tempted to cheat every now and then. There are so many beautiful women out there, I wanna love them all.
By driving me crazy and refusing to give me peace.

Agreed, it's an unfair expectation of society on us men to be expected to be monogamous for the rest of life. I think it's unhealthy too. (half serious)

Just came back from my friend's (it's 5 am). Dude is heartbroken. A total wreck.

You're fucked when your girlfriend leaves you and 3 days later people spot her holding hands with another guy.
Four days earlier she was holding his deck. :agree:

I clearly felt threatened. But it took me a little time to realize there wasn't inherent danger in the situation.

Of course, I have a darkly comic joke that there are no gatherings in India of 100 people or more without at least one person getting killed. But that's the news headline rather than the rule.

Yeah, that's when it's a real crisis

I am, but I think she is doing her best to give me justification not to be.
Working for it, eh? Oh well...

I would expect nothing less from you. :D
