How can you do your first flight before you make commitments? You have to make a down payment of TT$ 12,000 before you start the course. I wanna do it as a career, but now I'm just looking at the private licence. After, I'll probably have to go to Miami to get the commercial licence and I don't know how I'm gonna afford that but I'll see when the time comes.

Well here you can go and get a "first flight" for like $50. They basically take you up and let you fly a bit so you can get a feel for it.

I assumed it was a Private Pilots license you were going for, that's the first stage. I'm about 2-3 weeks away from getting mine and then I'll start working on my instrument. By the time that I'm done with that I should only have about 15-20hrs left towards my Commercial and then I' m done

Good choice regarding Miami With that weather you can fly every day and knock out everything.
