3 month first aid course and yo can be a paramedic?
i just believe that all teh emergency services are specialized and firemen should be firemen, paramedics should be paramedics,etc...as they all have a specific skill-set and expertise

u don't learn so in 3 months i know..but u learn in time with practicing your job..seeing on the field what do you need to do...because you learn sth on every intervention ,we ain't alone on the ambulance, we have a doctor so we followed his commands at first, but now we can handle it...we are..the management is at the beginning here..and the number of individuals that have that first aid course is starting to raise..so they swiched me this month for another one that finished the course so that he can gain exp...and i will rot with the hoses/daily drills on mizerable weather conditions..and so on...

i hope to become in 3,4 years a real paramedic...with all my courses...see here..now..at my stage..i cannot drain blood..or give the guy medicine...the doctor or the doctor assistant does that...we take care of wounds..hive 02...cervical collar..immobilize the victime's fracture members or spine..(we are called to take care especially on traumatic incidents:falls..drowned..burned..electrocuted..etc)

you know that paramedics have a high rate of alcoholics in their profession, though they still fall behind chefs and firemen as the most drunken professionals out there.
