still always had that nagging feeling that there was more to come.....but there must be some insane pressure on these "new Maradonna" youngsters, just wait till there is a "new Batistuta"

I think Crespo is the current Batistuta. I mean he was. There sorta haven't been a new one, perhaps Higuain.

And Messi is no Maradona and never will be. He's much too sane and modest.

that is where aguero could come in, sure he seems like a nice lad but maradonna is his father-in-law and i expect some brilliant career advice to straighten out that lads sanity.
as for crespo,meh,he aint no batigol. sure he is a great goalscorer but nowhere near that great ones level

It's the name. Sure, Hernan Crespo's a great name. It's an awesome name. But it can't compete with GABRIEL BATISTUTA.

Crespo has had an impressive career. Less goals in Serie A than Bati and certainly never as good in the national team. But he used to be great.

What he never achieved was Bati's shooting. That shit was unrivaled.
