if you live and work in a city with a population of ≈ 100.000
there is no need for a car. you have everything within your reach.

and if you wanna go visit friends, use the train, bus, plane whatsoever.

because your car will stand more than it actually drives. i will be faster walking.

if you live in the middle of nowhere - a car is not bad though.
USA and Europe is not the same. :D

Anything that loses a third of its value the minute you drive away from the seller is merely a decaying commodity. You'd be better off buying an NFL running back: they'd last longer.
Eerie consideing this quote I just watched :D

"Trust me.. never buy a depreciating asset. If it drives, flies, floats or f*cks - lease it!"

Said by Dwayne Johnson in the pilot for Ballers, to NFL running back stars while looking at their new toys/cars they just bought :D

The culture of public transportation is just completely different in the states. Not to say that a lot of major cities in the states don't even have a well-functioning public transportation system. Take L.A., for example.
allergic to anything 'public', too socialist

Buying a new car is stupid unless you have some OCD or too much cash
that i agree with

My job is 20 miles away and there's no sidewalks. That's the case for most people in the U.S. Everything is spread far apart so you can't just walk there.

It's also very bad on gas and high maintenance :p
True, but i didnt bought this car to be economical. And "using" the turbo of a lancer or impreza, especially the FQ300+ ones or custom upgrades ones, make your car insane on gas and maintenance.

I love this RX8. I've never driven anything close to this. Its reasonably quick, but the sound that wankel rotary engine makes is just unique. the "launch" sound it secondary makes when starting from standstil is great, the engine sound when keeping at the same rpm is great, the high pitch sound you get when increasing revs is great.

i'd say, that is the best bit. Turbocharged beasts, requite you to hit the boost rpms to get that impressive sound. But naturally aspirated rotary engines, give an amazing sound when accelerating the revs, at any level

1200-4000, whenever increasing it will make that special sound. It gets a bit more brutal past 4000 and past 6500 yes, but thats just extra.

Whats also nice is you can pretty much do anything in 3rd gear. You can easely start in third gear when you know how do drive this kind of car, and it goes to about 140 kmh in third. and from 40 kmh on, your acceleration is pretty near.

For my own sake, its probably best i've got the 190 horsepower version. Chance of having a fatal carcrash would rise when having the 230hp one
