Maybe you should. Because in case you missed it, I never said India was an uninteresting place or that I'd by killed by definition if I went there. I merely stated that the country has safety issues, especially when you are a foreigner and don't know the country well.

Yes, knowledge is important cos not all places in India are the same. Which is why my main objection is that you're painting the entire country with a single brush. It's not that simple.

I think we misunderstand each other here. I don't think all of India is unsafe. But I like to travel and explore a country. Preferably with my own means of transportation. I think India is ill suited for me to do so as a tourist.

Never seen it as a touristic attraction and also mainly due t my own ignorance about the country itself.
