Dollars for scholars.

Thanks, bruh. You said you work in a law firm, what do you do? What do/did you study?
I do accounts receivable, but they want to train me to do damn near everything in order to cover for people if they're out, which kinda sucks. I studied economics and finance. So basically, this isn't anything that can be long-term, but it'll allow me to pay my loans and start saving for retirement so that's good enough for now.

How did you come up with that number? 1000 bolivianos is like 143 dollars. But yeah, legal assistants/paralegals are paid crap in Bolivia cause they're all law students. Some firms don't even pay them, with the excuse that students are there to learn :howler:
Oh okay. That changes everything. 143 dollars a month is awesome.

Lack of oportunities in my field coupled with my inexperience. I feel bad complaining now though, knowing your situation
That's fine, everyone has his own problem and flows with it. I should be happy that I'm healthy and have a roof above my head, unlike some, but that doesn't mean I should be happy (or you) if something in my life is screwed up. It's good that you're aware of it unlike majority who just root and stagnate imo.

It takes balls too to make a big change in life, like quit a job and look for something else. There's pretty much two things you can do; One it to stay there and keep looking for opportunities and second is to quit and try getting internships to boost experience in your field. Or pack your bags and leave a country if you're for a drastic change.

But try thinking about it more. Maybe leaving wouldn't make you happy at all. Quitting and ending up without anything, without plan, seems like the worst case. You'd have Dusan written all over you.
