Rofl at the 24 hour ban I got from either Aaron or X. "you're banned for circumventing your Allegri thread ban by accessing it via Tapatalk" are these guys serious? Just because I admitted I did it (I actually didn't even know I was banned at the time, I only found out when I tried to access the thread through my computer)

That's the forums fault. Not mine. Yall niggas are crazy.
It's what you get for being a cheeky bastard. :D

Everyone has an imaginary companion who will be with you your entire life. His name is Fear.

If you allow this companion to take control of your life, then he'll put you in a straitjacket.

But Fear can also be your loyal companion. When you hop on the wild roller coaster of life, engaging in an infinite number of exhilarating undertakings.

He won't get in your way, but he'll always be there as long as you're doing new things. When you feel fear it's a sign that you're doing something new and exciting.
so your maid is male now

Greg, can you recommend a good red for gnocchi?
This was pretty damn fine. But they are hard to find.

They make some of the best gnocchi on the planet at the restaurant where I got that wine. (And the maitre d is a Partenopei :D )

Torino area wine

Anyway, for gnocchi, I might go further northeast to the Veneto for a Valpolicella. Or if you're into higher alcohol levels, a Ripasso or even Amarone.

happy birthday good friend ;)
Thanks, fratello! :)

Oh it was your birthday Greg? Happy belated bday then, here's to 100 more :coffee:
Belated happy birthday, @Greg!
Thanks, guys. :)

Actual bday was yesterday (Pi day). Still commuting back from Carmel-by-the-Sea from a great weekend for it. It got to 30°C there yesterday ... Nuts.

And fitting that my favorite Partenopei maitre d got to see his boys go down in flames to their sworn Northern enemies in Verona. :seven:

He was telling me yesterday how Napoli plays the best football in Italy like some Arsenal crackhead in England.

Happy belated birthday, Greg.

Is that bottle worth $500? Looks amazing.

Greg, can you recommend a good red for gnocchi?
Depends on what type of sauce you're looking at.

My favorite would be a Barbera d'Asti. Rather peppery, good for your bolognese and meat-like sauces.

It was pretty amazing. It has a great amount of life left it it for a 41-year-old wine. Good Barolos and Barbarescos can do that. It wasn't one of their $500 Gajas, but at $225 restaurant price it was both very expensive and a deal. (it was also their last bottle in the cellar of it)

And thanks for the Bday wishes :)
