Ohhh, so what a person says during a campaign doesn't matter then?

Thank you, Enron. That may have been the last time I voted within this system of bullshit.
Ok. Quote him and then you can call him a liar. What did he promise during the campaign that he isn't doing now? Did he say "I won't attempt to bail out the banks before just wiping my hands of the situation and saying fuck it"? I must have missed that speech where he promised to bomb Israel and give Bin Laden a seat at the White House table. Sure he's made some decisions that you may not like. But he didn't lie.

If you don't want to vote then that's fine. You have the right not to. I don't care if you do or don't.

Auto industry has a union, so employee are protected in the short term. But it's true GM is going down and I'm loving it. Any company that basis it's future on SUV's and pick up trucks when people are demanding efficiency vehicles deserves it's fate. It's a shame though because they just recently (this fall or summer) got on the efficiency bandwagon. They had a sweet hydrogen car on campus in like November that "was" close to floor development.
GM was playing Russian roulette with five bullets. They knew it too.

... so is the investment banking industry, the insurance industry, and even some mortgage issuers in this country. At least the autos produce a product instead of taking capital and sending it into a huge black hole through derivatives...

This shit is just too funny. But hell, issue all the failed banks all the money they want. It's practically the same as having fake wars such as in Iraq. Might as well save lives by sponsoring financial terrorism.
Problem is that what helps us from here isn't a sense of what's fair. It's a sense of what will do the most amount of benefit, fairness be damned.

While I have every reason to be pissed off at all the shit bankers, I also know that shareholders and the Street are also to blame. Because they will punish and put out of business any financier who charges an extra percent interest just because they think things are too risky. It's either get with the program or get out.

Believe me: any mortgage broker who said their bank was nuts for handing out money sight unseen, or who didn't embark on a program to sign up every meth addict available with an ARM for a condo, can laugh a little now. But that's hardly consolation because a year ago I'm sure they were either fired, reclassified to the mail room, and ridiculed for being stubborn fools. They were right, but they will never see the benefits for being right.

So unfortunately, the system is what's f*ed, not just the bankers. Meaning any fix needs to look at the whole system.

He claimed he would allow a bill to be reviewed for days, unlike the past stimulus bill that NOBODY had time to read yet he passed. His quote: "five days to look online". He's a little liar about that.

Obama claimed we would pull out all troops from Iraq by some date, around two years, but that's not the truth. We will be there for a while

Obama claimed he'd close down all detention camps such as Guantanamo, but he only closes down that site and sends them - without trial - to another detention camp around the world.

He claimed we would have so much transparency, but we have got none whatsoever. He claimed we would have no pork in bills yet the whole stimulus is filled with pork. He claimed he'd be totally different than Bush but he's exactly the same in all of this crap.

Hell, this is not even discounting how he brought in all these tax-evaders and Bush cronies into his office. Geithner was the New York Fed chief, had the job of overseeing the actions of bankers, but failed. Emanuel was the director of Fannie Mae... during the whole institution's period of idiocy! And we don't even know who will be Mr. Tax Evader's little helpers.

Come on, this is filled with shit.

Obama's whole campaign was built on lies, and I should have seen through it because all these people are the same. It may hurt for a while, but the sooner we realize what's going on here with these politicians, the better. They're all a bunch of lying cocksuckers.

That doesn't mean we should continue tossing money at an institution that is doomed to fail. AIG is one of those.

None of your statements are broad at all. Just face it you're upset because it's not as picture perfect as you want everything to be. You've broad statements and turned them into "lies". You're basing the guy's first 40 days in office on your own personal litmus test which is obviously so completely whack that no one could meet the criteria.

But whatever. You can believe what you want. Obama's a liar, FEMA's gonna imprison us, and smart ass Andy Beck is going to tell us all. I'm sure you're sleep loss has nothing to do with your overactive paranoia.:melayyanandmessi:
