Kind of like Americans when they talk about historical buildings, eh?
This twigged my memory for one of these property shows I was watching a few years ago. One of the couples were a pair of middle-aged gay Americans who were looking to buy a house in a small village over here, I suppose they wanted to walk around in tweed and drink tea in their country garden. It has its appeal I guess.

Anyway they were looking around the village and when they walked past the church one of them exclaimed "Wow, this building is like 300 years older than my country!", the whole aspect of relativity completely lost on the guy, as if notable history began in 1783 :D

OK, thanks. Now I follow that. What I don't then follow is how that innate desire to reproduce equates with hurling insults or sexual violence. Neither seem to be a logical or even emotional means to that ends. Maybe for sexual violence that's pregnancy through rape, but that's a pretty bad propagation strategy on many levels.

it's actually scientifically shown that it is indeed related to aggression/violence, not to sound too crude but successful female approach is a 'conquest', and as hume said these instincts are a composite of lesser feelings check out this vid:

edit: part of the brain i am referring to is amygdala
