I intentionally missed one this weekend (lots of friends were going). Something called BottleRock.
I always liked going to small clubs where there's the danger of burning up in a stage fire with faulty emergency exists -- never was much of a fan of the getting-trampled-on-in-a-knife-fight at the big outdoor events.
I finally figured out why. Sure, the sound quality sucks and the visuals are miniscule when you're at a large outdoor event. But it's the commitment that drives me nuts: having to scope out a patch of grass among thousands of others and hang there for eight hours on end. This free bird needs to fly.
