Your expertise on all things coffee never ceases to amaze me

Thinking about it now, I cannot wait to wake up tomorrow morning, tired, and having that first cup :D

Why are most machines operating at 15 bars but the Rancilio Silvia at 9 bars? and is that an issue?
No. You need the higher pressure if you have a single boiler system instead of a double boiler (cheaper to do that), as your pressure for pulling espresso shots might have to compete with milk-frothing. But if you do them serially anyway, I don't think it's a big deal.

Espresso shots should be at about 7-9 bars.

I've never met anyone who got a Silvia and didn't like the quality they could produce with it. It's really the entry-level machine for "big boy pants" home espresso. Has been for years.

You made a tongue gesture whilst writing a message?

Have to say my neighbours are making me proud to be British. It was a decent day today but the temperature has dropped right down, so when they started this half-hearted garden party it was maybe 18°C, it's 1°C outside right now and they are still outside without patio heaters :vinny:

Anyone watch the Jones - Sonnen fight? Jones won in the 1st round, but broke his big toe. Basically snapped it off. Didn't realize it until he was halfway through the post-fight interview.
