Very unlike Kate post, caught me off guard and made me laugh

No Spotify for you! (soup nazi voice) in Canada?

I can't believe some of the songs they have, x-yugoslav rock bands wtf !
I hate living here, I thought I'd made that clear before? But yeah, Spotify/Pandora whatever aren't available in Canada.

You might've made it clear but you need to cut me some slack, I'm slow sometimes :p .

If you could pack up tomorrow and move somewhere, where would the choice fall?

Somehow you can't feel wrong when X is backing you up. Therefore the only logical conclusion is that you absolutely enjoy living in Canada, Kate

:D

I just got Spotify. I can't believe I'm actually getting old enough for my younger sister to install stuff on my pad and then go "let me show you how this works".

This is great, I'm never downloading a song again  I've been missing out on an ocean of music, all the stuff I can't find online, been meaning to buy but never got around to it.

@Jem83

What's the audio quality on Spotify? I'm listening on some cheap ass buds so I can't quite make out the sound quality.

Lost my jack > mini jack converter for my Sennheisers, now I'm fucked

I have Spotify Premium, and I primarily use it while on my desktop. I get 320 kbps streaming bitrate.

Actual audio sample rate and whether it's 16 or 24 bit, I actually don't know :boh:

I used to put in an effort to listen to music like few times a month at best (at times less often) before I got spotify. Afterwards, I dont think there has been a single day I havent used spotify's vaaaaaaast catalogue of music. Its insanely brilliant service. Such effortless way to get hold of music, no digging around for it that I'm usually too lazy for.

I've heard so many mp3's and whatnot in my life that I've actually grown a bit fond of the sound of them :D
I get that, but if the engineer put thought into mixing and mastering it and you listen to it in 320 it just feels wrong. You know what I'm talking about, you do it yourself :D

It's an ambivalent feeling for me. I used to spend an ocean of time at record stores, talking with the people working there, other costumers. Often ending up in a listening session where you explore new music and feed off the vibe from the people showing you new stuff. Ever since I started downloading music that tradition sort of died out, which is a shame.

I can't do Korn. Cave In, yes. But not Korn.
I can't do Korn either, but they do have 3 songs which I think are really good.

5 years ago I was absolutely head of heels for them, though :D. Almost got a tattoo, thank fuck for my parents and their intelligence

i have to admit i too thought you liked living there :D
It fucking sucks, man. Though, I only have experience with this town. It's really a small town that thinks it's big, there is nothing to do, it has no taste, and it's deeply racist. If you're from here, I've heard it's great. If you've ever been anywhere ever, you realise how shit it is.
