I have a beard now
speaking of beards, it was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves, but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions. After a while, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen. So they had to make a choice either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from earth. Wisely they decided to go back to being together. They learnt to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the heat that came from others. This way they were able to survive. The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person’s good qualities.

When I was little... my father was famous. He was the greatest samurai in the empire and he was the Shogun's decapitator. He cut off the heads of a hundred and thirty-one lords. It was a bad time for the empire. The Shogun just stayed inside his castle -- and he never came out. People said his brain was infected by devils. My father would come home and would try to forget about the killings. He wasn't scared of the Shogun, but the Shogun was scared of him.
Maybe that was the problem…
Then, one night... the Shogun sent his ninja spies to our house. They were supposed to kill my father... but they didn't. That was the night everything changed…

Haven't shaved your clam in a while?
I dare not click on that in this meeting

My boyfriend shaved his beard the other day and I miss it already
I got what you need

Yeah Deneb, you just made my left nut move more closer to the right nut.
Where you been big tits?

when i was a kid the black plague had struck and diseased eyes roll upwards as if knowing which direction their souls will travel. women in black cried as the deathly procession passed by and monks moaned en masse. the yet clean peasants pounded upon the castle door for it is safer inside the walls their knocking pounds a dull tone across the quiet, deserted courtyard. The bodies of unfortuates bloated in the hot sun outside the castle walls and ones ignorant of all facts plundered the diseased corpses for remaining riches. my dad walked around the castle walls on the outside, the light from his lamp dancing shadows as he moved giving comfort to all he can for a dying woman and a crying man but he feels it most for the children, tears glistened on his cheek .
Many deaths and many days later many tears have been cried but in vain for tears can never erase the pain of death only time has that talent. His hands are now blistered but my dad walked on the only element of sanity that the people look to him for answers and he answers all and the bell tolls on inside the castle wall.
the dead now buried, and the plague at its end life, the people breathe fresh air like they did once before, and there is not a sound from beyond the castle walls the bell has stopped and only silence is heard and the peasants outside wonder what happened. within in their bones they feel something is wrong the bell has been silent much too long for many days not one soul has stirred from the stone fortress where the rich people live. no one came and no one went. fear can do many strange things and even though water ran low their mouths burnt and bellies caked dry not one person put a foot outside no one had that much courage for they feared the peasants and their world outside, so they played it safe and didn't move but one by one they perished and died.

Is it anything like hákarl in Iceland?
never had the icelandic version, but ive tried faroese fermented whale.

there are some similarities. they both have a 'rotten' taste to em and a very strong umami flavour. but fermented whale's 'rotten' taste is more towards ammonia whereas surstrømning is pure poison. rotten eggs and dead body comes to mind :inter:

That part of the world suffers from flavor
ironic that one of the blandest food cultures around (the scandinavian) produce arguably the most innovative and trendsetting chefs in the world.

the scandinavian welfare state is victorious again. all hail!!!1 :D

See you on the other side, Dino.

Yeah, well, I just ordered another 8 pounds of coffee greens for home roasting. My drag-racing ninja cop brother bought me a new home roaster for Christmas, and it's revived old habits. So the world can't be ending just yet... I haven't had my coffee yet. :coffee:
