I basically have to come up with what I need to do the research, but it's kind of annoying because I've only met with my intern mentor once. So I don't really know what is available to me.

you're absolutely right. i did one on increased runoff in toronto as result of increased development in the last 15 years. it was so annoying because i had to interpret and quantify information from satellite images. martin knows all about that
we have one of the municipalities providing a site, a landfill, a company from the Netherlands providing the equipment and the ontario center of excellence providing money for transportation and sample analysis.

That's one heck of a set up. A bunch of my buddies have similar set ups through the USGS labs, but they're aquatics majors which really isn't my field.
