exactly, but if people wanna take em, let em. We know what happened with the Prohibition. Crime rates will go up like a motherfucker. What will people do at parties? Talk about shit sober? No way that's gonna happen. No bars? That's a disaster waiting to happen.

exactly, it's the degree of effect. for example, if you take the same amount * (not sure how to level or calibrate this for all alcohol, smoking and serious drugs); the effect would be the worst for drugs on the taker, not alcohol nor smoking. that's what I mean. it's the severity and likelihood of the affects of serious drugs that I reckon warrants the death penalty, for feeding that to society. of course you have long-term smokers who will die of lung cancer, or alcoholics and liver disease; but surely you cannot compare that to the effects of say heroin on a person?
Surely none of us can make that comparisson. Smoking more than 1 cigarette per day puts you in the danger group of both cardiac and cancer disease. Ive chosen to smoke because i enjoy it now.
Furthermore, over the past 4 years of smoking ive spent nearly 9 thousand euros on that shit, buying aprox 8 packs per week. So dont.tell me its.not destructivr and dont use heroin as your reference poibt. Plenty illegal drugs around which are far cheaper and far less dangerpus tjan tobacco

Why isnt it a weekend over there?
I don't know, I have always found them depressing. Things tend to be closed, there's no post (though in Canada there's no post on Saturdays either, which is just ridiculous), everyone's down about having to go back to work tomorrow, and they move so slowly...

Agree with all you guys, and thats why i am strongly with banning tobacco and alcohol as well. They aren't any different than drugs really, their effects are just as bad(unless the drugs are cocaine or heroin)
I'm strongly against banning things. If you can't can't make responsible decisions then go jump off a bridge.

as I stated before I am only for the death penalty for strong/dangerous drugs, ie heroin. the effects of those are just too adverse imo.

also of course physical harm could cause rifts and problems for families mentally; but surely not on the same scale when someone is on drugs, they literally lose their minds. (as well as alcohol.)

So society's message is: If you cause harm to others we will cause the ultimate harm to you (kill you)? Do you not find that hypocritical (to say the least)?
