I'm getting a 42" Samsung Plasma TV(PS42A410) for more than 50% discount. Should I take it or not?
depends on your budget, I suppose, and on how much cheaper it really is compared to latest models from Samsung, Panasonic. This one is an older model, it seems, and not full HD and missing some other features too probably. I think Panasonic plasmas are better than Samsung - Samsung is still very good though - but if this one is a lot cheaper than say a Pana one, then go for it ... assuming it meets your needs and requirements, of course.

Depends on what TV you have now.
This is for my new apartment. Right now I have a Sony 32" LED at my house.

It's an old model and doesn't have some of the latest features(1080p, USB, DLNA) but this offer is damn good 390$(Half the price of the current Samsung 42" Plasma). It has HDMI anyways, guess I'll get it.

why so confused? :p - 720p/1080i TVs (older generation widescreens) also use HDMI as the cable for HD content, even if their max resolution is less than 1080p aka full-HD.

 We have a proverb in my local language which goes "Yudhdha kaale shashtraabhyasa" which roughly translates to "learning to fight on the day of war". Applies to you and me both. :D
Hit the nail on the mothafuckin' head. Btw, your local language sounds awesome! Like a 8 year old who has not quite mastered english but still sings along to the songs. She lobshyuyeehyeehyeeh ( She loves you yeah yeah yeah )

Alright, so the Boise trip is definitely off. Just waiting for confirmation whether I can extend my stay in SF. I hope it'll be done so I can get jiggy with Greg and Kyle! :D
