Formatting my laptop. I hope the backup application favoured up spill the stuff I had on there. I've definitely lost the music and TV shows I downloaded. Especially Firefly and Serenity.

I got some files backup up to a server through some backup program. But not everything is backed up.

It got screwed because of hard drive encryption by McAfee that prevented the windows 8 instal from allowing to dual boot and this locking out the Win 7 partition.

OK, seems like the My Documents and My Pictures folders have been backed up. So data loss should be minimal. Now restoring about 2900 files. This should take a while!

What's weird is being at meetings. Take notes with a laptop, and people think you're following the meeting. Take notes on a mobile phone, and people think you're checking your email or playing Tetris.
