In all the options you have available. I love spicey food, like Indian, Mexican, etc. and would love to eat such stuff when I get the need. But here there are so few of such restaurants, they are considered exotic, so the prices are incredibly high and I just can't afford to eat there. Few times I've taken gfs to such places and cursed myself for a month, afterwards. :D
Yes and no. It depends on where you live. Many places (countries, etc.) without a great variety of restaurants, I've found, often have really high standards for what few options they do serve. Because there are often a lot of choices in places like the U.S., the variety can partly compensate for quality. After all, this is the country that invented fast food. :yuck:

So I've found much of the variety in Mexican , Indian, etc., to be quite poor unless there's a community of natives/immigrants to support it authentically. For example, in Western New Jersey, you cannot find a good Mexican restaurant to save your life. They're plentiful here in California. And if you like Afghan food, for example, there are some not bad options in cuisine-capital San Francisco, yet sleepy Freemont, CA -- near San Jose and where a lot of Afghan communities exist -- has Afghani food that blows the SF stuff out of the water.

So there is variety. It's not always that good, is the issue.

it's been a very relaxing day today. half my day is over, and only 1 call! normally, i wud've aken about 4-5 calls! what's happenin in the US? anything special?
Drunken post-Obama celebrations have left many people with hangovers. :D

Lol well if you can find certain ingredients you can make it yourself. It's really not that difficult, but I'm not sure how easy it is to find curry packages over there. Even here it's sometimes difficult if you live out in the country.

North African? Now that's something I haven't tried yet. I have heard of some Moroccan dishes, however.

Any favorite dishes?

You're going to have to help some of us here, Zé. Sri Lanka cricket woes or somethin'?
I'm surprised you're up to date on PCB's cricket schedule :D But no, I was saying that I miss Lahore.

You know you should visit Lahore some day. There's a saying in Punjabi, "Jinnay Lahore nehi vekheya wo jameya nehi" = Who ever hasn't seen Lahore hasn't been born.
