i only ever saw my disertation supervisor twice, first time it was about what i was going to do it on, 2nd time when she read my intro she said this topic isn't going to work. Instead i persisted with the idea, didn't see her again untill i got her to sign me off when i handed it in, and finished up writing the disertation in full 1 week before hand in and still passed, only 4% off a distinction

I have piloted the research im doing for my diss since i last saw her which is what i want to talk to her about, i just hope she doesnt bring up the reading.

Its going to be weird next semester, im the only person in my year that has two supervisors, the other one is the deputy head of my dept and one of the leading researchers on my topic in the world (i've mentioned this before). But as protest is becoming a specialty for me now, i keep referencing his work and reading everything he writes - its going to be like meeting a celebrity when I start my research with him. In terms of academia its like if some shitty band got to work with Keith Richards - I am working with the macdaddy of protest research.

Also, I don't get why north italian teams are after tevez. He's gone AWOL because his wife and kids don't want to live in a cold climate :shifty:

Ouch, good luck. I have a meeting with mine this afternoon. I saw him this morning and he looks like crap, he told me he hasn't been to bed yet and is going home to nap right now. I love that I get to see his rubbish side.

I have the other deal - my dept is really keen on my research so i've been given the two supervisors i said in the post above. They are keeping me on a tight leash lol.

The one im seeing today is like me - always ganked up on caffeine. Her office is like a red bull museum.

Interesting. Mine is a lot like me as well, and I have yet to decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
To my mind theres two kinds of caffeine junky: a) classy - coffee - especially the one that drunk the right kind at the right time of day (like me), or b) borderline meth addicts who get pumped up on red bull/coke etc. Then theres the people that drink english tea, but to my mind they don't factor in as real people. Chinese teas/chai are cool though...they don't taste like someone vomited on some clay and boiled it.

In summary - a) cool, b) weird and slightly scary. :D
