3-5 years depending on my research. I dont think i want to work for a uni, i suffer badly from Glossophobia so i wouldnt be able to do lectures. I would hope to work for a humanitarian NGO in pr or a supra-national organisation in PR.

I don't believe in political parties and view them as one of the fundamental flaws of almost every liberal democracy - They would have to force me to abandon my morals before I worked for one.
I'm intrigued. Can you tell us more?

If you guys sucked at math, what type of career would you choose?
For the greater good, I'd be a blackjack dealer.

I did rather well in the casino the other week, because the dealer was so thick she could barely count.

Every time she paused, trying to figure out what was going on, we all just said she had 22 or 23. :D

dru, I'm actually in the embarrassing situation that I have a 450 yuro gift certificate situation and I dunno what to blow it on :D
Ah a first world problem indeed :D

There was a promo here for the Toshiba Thrive @ $200 last week. I went ahead and got it because its the best deal/value out there. If you're curious about trying out an android tab then this would be a good way to get into it.

I see where you're going with this

Anything and everything else in the world except being a mathematician. People that are good at math are socially inept. There is an actual formula that proves it.

Trying to psych myself up to go and play football.
How was your excurision yesterday evening?

If i have to speak in front of more than 6 people I have panic attacks.

When I was at school I used to lead lots of class discussions and was a real loudmouth. When I got to uni something flipped in my mind and I kept my mouth shut all the time and the next time i had to present I couldn't say a word, my throat seized up. Since then I have done all I can to avoid doing it. Including not turning up to seminars etc. I am meant to present in. I thought after my year out and travelling etc. I would have gotten over it but its just as bad now, I am getting a bit better now but waiting to speak its like hell for me. My mind panics and blanks out, heart goes mad.

Its bizarre because at the start of the summer I had to give a presentation for work (When i was manager at a coffee shop i did 'barista of the year' and i had to present to a group of people on my knowldge of coffee etc.) and i did it fine. But that was before i started suffering from Depersonalization disorder, which is a common side effect of returning from travelling, but i went a bit overboard with partying and was working a mundane job so i've got it quite bad still. I am probably going to need to see a doctor about all of this soon.

Become a footballer.
A pro?

Not necessarily.

There are cases of people over here who have been playing amateur or semi-pro football well into their twenties, only to be spotted, picked up and go on to have good careers.

Hell, Torricelli was still playing as an amateur aged 21 or 22 when Juve signed him, I think.

Thing is I already have a tablet (kindle) and I don't use it much, so why do I need another :D Plus I have no idea what I would do with a tablet that I don't already do now.

Pretty low key.

Just met a mate for a few pints, caught up, agreed to go for a boozy trip down to Newcastle v Man Utd in January, then called it a night.
Low key is always good, especially on a Monday night

Isn't the Kindle strictly an e-reader? Does it have apps, full web browsing, etc..?

Bolivian players rarely make it outside the Bolivian league anyway :p College is the way to go! I'll just try harder when it comes to math.

That's really fascinating that it came on like that. 6 people sounds very precise, is it literally 6 and not 5 or 7? Not trying to be a jerk, just curious.

I had a bunch of trouble with social anxiety in my past so in grad school I knew we would have to do presentations and that seemed so hard to me so I got really excited about having the opportunity to practice this. Over 2 years I did like 10 and I really got somewhere. Still nervous and a poor presenter, but the fear was much decreased.
