The low-production of the Getdown Services works for me despite the duo's many shortcomings. Kind of imagine if the cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia came from Bristol, and a couple of them broke off to form a low-budget dance-punk band.
Not as much of a fan of their new EP released yesterday as I was of last year's Crumbs album, but it works.
The first song of the album is absolute heater with proper west coast beat, it just grows and grows lyrically as song keeps going (his flow the last minute is chef kiss):
