Short film-esque clip of him in the hood with couple of minutes of dope tidbit of the song from his just released album (made connecting video clips for most of the album):

Cultural appropriation much?

This record is absolute lovely.
Who am i to appropriate a culture lol. I feel blessed that people who I've met in the US think i need to try their food and listen to their music and participate in their activities :D

And thanks for sharing that, it's beautiful. Very much similar to my favorite records of Leonard Cohen.

As long as you stay away from Sushi, you'll be fine :D

Yeah. A clear vibe of Cohen. No doubt Gregory's been inspired by him. Have a listen to the rest of his catalog. Quality singer-songwriter/indie folk. His newest with the Chicago Symphony is

I sure wouldn't feel disrespected if they butchered Ghormehsabzi in the US :D

What i find disrespectful is that when they remove meat from western food in India no-one calls it cultural appropriation but if they cook chicken tikka the wrong way it's cultural appropriation. This automatically ranks cultures and assumes that one has the power to appropriate the other and then denounces such appropriation, while what's disrespectful is the premise itself.

This is upsetting to me personally that we have to think all the time that the world has conspired to disrespect us.

Haha (bye bye student loans!) defenitely new song to me, and Dee-1 is nice, wholesome niche christian rapper that allways has something worthwhile to say :agree:
