I guess you havent heard it used as much (some very subtle uses for it vibe wise).
FYI only song he used that. BJ Chicago kid is genuinely amazing voice, truly soulful rnb cat (hopefully will become the D'Angelo of his peers), one of the very few on point young singers that appriciates and envokes the natural style of his groundbreaking elders.

He is the hype man He is not a real DJ/producer in true sense of the profession, he is more like gathers talented people together and occasionally mixes some shit. But basically a loud bussinessman calling himself a DJ, roots are radio host personality (where the DJ bit is), occasional record producer (he has a stable of producers that helps him) and key of all record company executive. He is good at putting talented people to work (has insane amount of good rappers/rnb singers eagerly wanting to do his compliation albums, from the above legends to the main hit guys now, he is doing something right since they all seem to appriciate him), and it bores some good mainstream rap music consistently for years now, so he is doing his thing. But you arent gonna listen to a record he made and think "ooh thats a vintage DJ Khaled beat" Good popular melodies, but you never truly know who actually made them.
Most important of all, he is (uintentionally cringe) funny as fvck guy Like some possessed self-belief promotional speaker (or tv preacher), kinda intoxicating clownish character. Hard to not be entertained/laugh, doesnt take himself seriously and has never ending of stupid catch phrases lol
