I would like to introduce a new segment to this thread, instead of the usual Funk Friday. This is something different.

I call it "Great Fucking Song, Stupid Fucking Video" and this, this is the video that inspired it. Proof positive that despite popular belief, not all black men can dance. Johnny Gill had given us a glimpse of that in "N.E. Heartbreak", but this is the forefather of that. Although most of the girls in this video are pretty hot. It still doesn't excuse the sheer stupidity of it all

Since we're all sharing here's my favorite song right now.

Pinata is a very unusual sound for Freddie Gibbs, but it weirdly compliments his skillset well, must been quite a challenge for him to flow over those type of beats (usually he flows over faster/harder stuff). Madlibs slower classy jazzy beats arent for everyone, but its really intricate and masterfullly skillfull when its handed to an MC like Gibbs. My fav project last year. Takes plenty of listens to truly appriciate it and right kind of mood.


Gibbs coming album next week isnt produced by Madlib I think, so it will be peculiar to hear him sound like he does on his mixtapes again. Tho its a shame, him and Madlib is perfect match IMO (unlike Madvillain, because I dont really like Mfdooms rapping except 1 or 2 songs). I mean, if you effortessly produce this you need to keep at it...






Freddie and BJ Chicago is another great combination in terms of rapper and rnb hookman

Yeah Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs is too nice, he has alot of high level mixtapes, hard worker. His earliest mixtapes too gritty for words.
