Currently listening to the stupid cpu fan :mad:
I've been listening to a combination of classical music and my HardDisk spinning and cracking.... It must be Paging (or thrashing i forget the difference) because i have so many apps open.

-2 Mozilla windows open..although they're only 2 processes, i guess they take a toll on the CPU since each window has 9 tabs (meanins 9 threads i guess).
-2 IE windows.
-3 XEmacs Editors (each with about 6 tabs)
-Winamp playing Internet radio.
-2 command promp windows.
-Notepad
-MSN Messenger
-1 Torrent file Download/Upload. (700+mb file!) (terribly slow....always pausing...not many users i guess)

and most of these these apps have been open for 4 days now :stress:
so 512MB of MM may not be enough..

....
My poor Laptop... I work the hell out of it. :D

hold the phone.... emacs? What possessed you??? :D Using free software, my goodness :eek:;)

Actually the fan isn't the problem, it's prolly the mobo. Has a way of messing with the fan frequency occasionally, making the fan very audible, it's usually pretty quiet.

:angel:
yeah, I feel bad getting an illegal copy of Forte to code something while the programers who made Forte getripped off be me (another mini-programmer).... that's like ripping off you brother i guess...

There's my BS excuse up there... The real reason is that I never got the hang of Forte or JBuilder.... i do all my coding manually... even frikkin GUIs :stress: :D

I dunno Forte, JBuilder however is a pain in the ass. Not as much as Sun One Studio though. Still, GUI by hand (esp java) is just masochistic.

mobo = motherboard

lucky I've only made a few GUIs... Once i get into real complicated ones with so many menus and stuff, i'll seek some external automated help (I'll check out that Sun One Studio :) ) ..Grazie

mobo = motherboard

Not at all, was referring to your posting style as I perceive it. Very precise, well timed and acute remarks is what I relate to your username.

Nothing negative to it, just that one should choose one's words carefully when talking to you. :D;)

Majed you use Emacs? I didn't know you were a programmer... how'd I miss that one? :wallbang:
you dont have to know everything Graham ;) ... I recall you were also shocked when you learned about my situation with LAC.
many things were said before you even registered here... :)

PS: you got a problem with Emacs?
Primitive applications aren't so bad.... I'm an MSPaint fan too :cool :p
