So that's the process you want to see going forward for contract negotiations where the player and team arent on the same term?

Ideally not at all. Its chaotic as fuck. That's a given.

But as said just trying to understand why its happening. it's two way street, players wants to force their will and the club does the same in kind. There's consequences to every action, and this summer we are way more harsh then usual, trying to make a point of this is new regime and new way of doing things.

Mckennie exerted his leverage and the club did theirs (or called his bluff with demanding doubled salary), til we got to were we are now. Let's see how it ends up. If they can continue to work together or we will move him on to Fiorentina.

I feel more sorry for Motta, because if this was someone they had plans to re integrate, he would probably wanted to prepare him for most of the summer lol

P.S @Siamak you are a sweetheart, thanks for the kind words akhi.

Weston McKennie is getting closer to extend the contract with Juventus. Contract until 2026 (2,8M/year plus bonus). The american player has turned down AstonVilla, Galatasaray, a Saudi Club and a MLS Club in the last weeks. Juve are now ready to re-include him in First Team (@NicoSchira)

So from demanding 5M to settling for about half, plus a bench role. Well played by his agent, real genius at work.

that said, miretti needs to play, so if he leaves they’ll need someone to take his place and McKennie is fine for depth.

Not a fan of this dude, but we need him if don’t sign any more players.

Please do the same with Chiesa.
as soon as McKennie opened to a renewal he was integrated back in. Chiesa needs to wake up.

Well played by his agent indeed. I would do the same thing. Any other club he would have received his money instead of the gambling addict. This only happens at JJ.

That's quite an impressive list of clubs wanting him. Ok, Villa didn't really want him and we were the ones who offered him to them, but Galatasaray, the Saudis and an MLS team is seriously wooow. We should be honored that a player of his caliber rejected all these giants in order to stay with us.

I agree he's useful and cheap but I'm trying to figure out where we're getting funds for future signings as I assumed we were relying on money from his potential sale.
I try not to worry too much about our finances. We just assume we know what our numbers really are but we really don't

Having said that I'd assume they will find funds somewhere else.

Can we consider McBurger our post-logo change to JJ's Padoin? Average at everything but usable at multiple situations and sometimes might score.
