Allegri won’t play him, they said.
We only bought him for his blm and woke positions, they fucking said.
I cant believe Allegri started him in such important game.

McKennie playing further forward makes no sense imo. He already has an incredible engine that allows him to be in the box all the time. Why push him forward?
Who needs Kevin De Bruyne when you have McDonald. Weve managed to set the bar very low.

I am guesssing he did still be box-to-box in a mid of 3 but with less defensive duties, than the other 2, on counterattacks. He attacks well inside the opposite box so can be lacking positionally when we lose the ball.

C’mon bro. He’s less than half the player peak Vidal was. Vidal was top 5 CM in football from 2011-2014.

I’m not saying McKennie can’t get there, he’s young enough and has the raw talent and physical attributes that perhaps he could one day get close to that level, but he’s nowhere near yet.
Less than half, now, they say.

This is escalating. I say.

Allegri to McKennie after the goal: “You will need to score 10 goals this season in Serie A.” ⚫️⚪️
It’s not the friendly I am talking about.
