Of course the whole team is difficult to judge in terms of individuals because it is a mess. Just about everyone is not performing.

It's not that I don't like him, I just don't think he will ever be more than a squad player here. He has lots to learn to even get to being a reliable one. Given our financial situation I would cash in if we got a decent offer.

I think he’s got Marchisio level potential. Not saying it’s a sure thing but he’s a young player with a great engine and good work ethic. Just needs coaches who can guide him and teach him the tactical side of the game

Juventus have always had players similar to Mckennie that fulfills a certain role or wins balls. Looking back, you can see Jugovic, Tacchinardi, Sissoko, Sturaro, and even if he isn't on the same planet you can throw Vidal in there too. We've always either had good ball winners or hard runners to either start or fulfill a certain tactical role, with Mckennie being a more modern B2B version of that. So I'm just really perplexed as to why you and others are so quick to say sell no matter what the profit is. I seriously think if Mckennie was Italian nobody would really care that much that we spent 18M on him.

I'd go even further and say that it's simply stupid to just throw away this player especially in how the modern game is played now. It's not like Mckennie is slow and lethargic and can only tackle like Sissoko or run nonstop like Pepe. Under the right guidance it's clear he can fit into the proper system, probably in a midfield 3 where he presses, wins balls, and is basically a box to box. So there's no reason to sell him unless someone offers a massive amount or you're just hellbent on getting rid of a player because you simply don't like him or the people that bought him.

Or perhaps he's just not overly into mediocre midfielders who have no business starting for Juventus.

We have and have had a lot of mediocre players in that case.

The thing i really dont get the most with Pirlo is he is trying too many formations and roles for everyone.. McKennie played his best whenever he was playing as our b2b in the centre, yet Pirlo keeps on changing this and still going back to Benta Rabiot..
We were on great run when Arthur Mckennie were our mids and it worked well, and when Arthur got injured Pirlo just said fuck it i am gonna make so many more change cos i cant accept players getting injured and because you got injured when you are healthy i am not gonna play you at your best position anymore! this happened with Weston and Arthur..

No offense but the American posters are unbelievably defensive about McKennie. It is ironic to bring up the point "if he was Italian". I suspect if that was the case you maybe be assessing him differently.

I totally get you can't have team of Iniestas. I appreciate that you need squad fillers. I even quite like them.

My issue with McKennie is he is so raw. As I said earlier, I like him. My issue is that he cost what 25m or something. It isn't cheap for filler and given our financial issues I'd rather use that money elsewhere if we can get it back. I think we could get a bench player for less, who is more rounded but I agree maybe not as physical.

I'd sell guys like Ramsey (more filler at the moment) before him but I stand by my point that if we got a good offer I think we should consider it.

An insult to Marchisio, not even close to the same potential in terms of anything: technique, vision, tactical understanding, etc.

McKennie runs, is young, and makes low wages, so yeah, he can stay as a back up. Nothing about him says big talent though.

All of our players showed (or show) more talent than McKennie. Maybe Frabotta is the exception. Even banter players like Rabiot, Bentancur, and Bernardeschi showed clearly more potential. McKennie is a transfer that should have not happened, now that it happened, given that we have more urgent issues, he can stay. If an offer comes for him though, sell ASAP.

There are enough midfielders in the league that do what he does but better.

Laughable to blame any single outfield player with Pirlo in charge.

I am not overreacting when I say we don't have a coach at all and this is an unorganized gang of players just happening to wear the same jersey.

Same with Bentancur, Kulusevski, even Ramsey and Rabiot. These are not top level players but to look like complete amateurs cannot be on them.

McKennie has tons of potential and all the characteristics Allegri likes in a midfielder. Aggressive, hard working, smart in the box, gets forward, good in the air.

He's cheap, he's young, he has potential. Should get 2 more years at a minimum unless a complete disaster with a top coach too.

McNuggets is never going to be WC, unless your definition of world class is a hard working slightly above average footballer with an ok footballing brain. Is he a serviceable player? Absolutely? Can he do better under a different coach? Definitely. However, he will never be good enough to command a starting spot in Juventus, at least the Juventus I used to know.
