I do quite frequently voice my criticisms. I can't stand the fact he is horrible at selling. I don't like co-owns or loans, as you know quite well. And I'm certainly not happy about the Rolando deal if it happens as I think its unnecessary.

But I'll be honest, some members have gone all out (looking at you Badass) on a mission to take absolutely every opportunity to bash the guy to the point of actually fabricating things that never happened as though it was his fault. Such as, did we even make a move for Shaqiri or even ask Bayern about him? How does anyone here actually know yet because Inter sign him we have to hear Badass moaning about it for the next 6 months.

Back to our team: We DESPERATELY need a player that has that finess with his passing but closer to the strikers. We lost the ball to inter way too many times this weekend trying to make that final pass. Pereyra couldn't even get a pass off...Vidal/Pogba tried but their passes were intercepted, same for Marchisio. That's why people want Sneijder here for his range and being closer to the strikers than Pirlo ever can be.
mission? no I'll criticize the decisions made by the club when warranted, and right now it warrants it. You don't pay 15 mill for a back up player who is of lesser quality than shaqiri and nainggolan and use the "he's not playing in his correct position" as an excuse that is just straw clutching desperation even for you

Totally justified because since last summer he hasn't done anything worthy apart from getting Coman. Terrible winter mercato 2014, terrible summer mercato and now he is following on the same steps as the previous two windows.

It is quite obvious that Pereyra sucks in whatever position he plays. Waste of money and space no matter how you look at it.
Romulo was unlucky to get an injury, you can't blame Marotta for that. He was actually doing well IMO settling in quickly. Also, Pereyra needs to be a CM or even a winger but certainly not behind the strikers. I will wait to pass judgement on him until he is deployed in a more favorable position for him.

I try to put myself in the boards shoes. Take Conte leaving, for example: The players we brought were they players Conte wanted and what Marotta had planned for or did the short notice of signing Allegri and Conte walked complicate the mercato? Allegri took over a major club 2 days after preaseason started so he needed to see what he had at his disposal and by the time any recommendations could be made on what he might need half the mercato was over already. Furthermore, we planned for a 352 and Allegri said it himself plenty of times that the system was working so why change it until it was necessary which he did.

Pereyra & Romulo, and Ill go out on the limb and say it, did better in the old formation. Thankfully we got Evra because no one knew Asa would get hurt for as long as he did and I know you hate him as a LB but you don't like Chiellini as a LB either.

With all this complaining by some members about us not getting Shaqiri makes me want Snejider more than ever. Sign him up please, and make him a starter.
It's not about whether we sign shaqiri or not, i've made my point on shaqiri some time ago but on the face of it he is a player of better quality (even though he is consistent) and pay the same amount for someone who is a back up player (pereyra)

Badass, you take this excuse of Pereyra being overpaid for and spread it as far as you can to everywhere on the forum and even the transfer threads. If anyone is straw clutching, it isn't me.

every team has useless flops who costed inadequate amount. its just how it goes. barca bought alex song, liverfool bought like five useless players recently for 100mil, borussia bought immobile, atletico bought cerci and so on.
they sure do, but at that point, it made sense.

Song was one of the best midfielders in the EPL when Barca bought him
Immobile was top scorer in Italy and replacement to Lewa

Cerci and Liverpool signings go into the 'beppe wtf signings'.

wait a minute, the morata deal was on hold till allegri CALLED morata telling him that he still wanted him! so allegri approved this signing too! it has nothing to do with Conte leaving

I listed how many other players signed over the summer and your only answer to that is Morata?

I wanted him back during the summer instead of Morata. And if the opportunity presented itself and Dortmund got us a good price, I'd take him back. He's after all still the reigning top scorer in our league while we're having problems scoring besides Tevez up front.

I agree but our team has been following this trend only recently, we are stacking the squad with average, old or injured players. In a year or two we will look like when Ferrara took over, a terrible team where no one wants to buy our dead wood and these same players will refuse to leave.

Problem is, its almost impossible to know whether a player will contribute or not as much as the value might suggest.

But but but pereyra is playing in the wrong position, it's not like pereyra hasn't played in midfield when he covered for Vidal again did nothing so where's your God now?

And this is one of my biggest issues with Marotta. His selling sucks.
