Is it really? Because Podolski is a lot more impactful in games. Sneijder is like a worse version of Pirlo at this point. No mobility, no speed, just long passes.
I feel it is. Sneijder would flourish in our team behind Tevez and Llorente. His creativity, passing and shooting from outside the box are something that we need. Plus it also makes for a good plan for when Pirlo is no longer a starter. Marchisio could take Pirlos place and give us solidity while Sneijder can give us the creative side form our midfield.

It would definitely not be as bad a signing as people are making it out to be. He is a top top player. He is younger than Tevez and central attacking mid is not as demanding a position. Look at Totti and Baggio. Sneijder could play at an excellent level for at least 5 years.

You described how would a proper CAM benefit this team.

When you realize you're actually talking about Sneijder, your argument falls apart.

People keep forgetting it's not 2010 though. Sneijder is far from doing good in Turkey ffs. We don't need those washed up players anymore, they don't set us going forward or even staying where we are; we actually keep going backwards. Roma and Napoli are closing in on us which means we already slowed down quite a bit.

Would he?

The way Tevez has been playing this season, it's hard to see him and Sneijder co-existing because they both want to have the ball in the same position and neither is all that keen on moving off the ball to find/create space.

Trying to playing 4-3-1-2 with Sneijder and Pirlo would also put a pretty big strain on the other two midfielders in terms of the defensive contribution they would be required to maintain the balance of the team.

And Pirlo is a different case from Snejder. First of all because he came on a free, second of all because his game depends much less on physicality than Snejder's (who is by no means a physical player, don't get me wrong, but pace and strength are much more important for him than for Pirlo), and while Pirlo has consistently been among the worlds best midfielders for almost a decade before he lost form at Milan, Snejder only was in that league for two or three years during his career.

This concerns me most.

I can see Sneijder work in a 4-3-1-2 with cheesio, vidal, pogby, playing not to close to tevez, but you cant add pirlo to that.
