@Mark there a quotes supposedly coming from turkish media fro snejiders agent claiming there was never a meeting between juve and gala. Truth?
that would be the best news i've heard this month

- - - Updated - - -

The total amount spent this January for them is, well, I don't know what it is, but it isn't much.

I can almost guarantee that they will have to sell off some of their more expensive players over the summer to make up for the obligation for Shaquiri, and if they decide to take up the option on Podolski.

And you haven't played Driveclub in a while. I can't keep holding our club on my shoulders for much longer, dude.
well they seem to be resting a lot of hope on qualifying for the CL this season, otherwise it would be hard to see who they can sell off, handanovic perhaps?

Sorry not really touched my playstation for gaming for a while, just bits here and there really, I need to get back into driveclub the recent hacking of sony networks didn't help just when I had time off work :( I will get on it soon enough :D

I don't think he's done either. That's why I see these comments about him being worth only 2-3 million and I just scratch my head. No offense @Ocelot

I think he could help in Serie A, and could actually take the pressure off of Tevez to not have to play so far back all the time.

I would have preferred Shaquiri if I had an inkling of them switching to a more winger based formation next year.

At this point though, the midfield is better served with Pogba-Marchisio-Vidal with Sneijder in front of them, than the current setup where you have Vidal playing out of place as a Trequartista, and Pirlo being constantly exposed out there.

I won't jump for joy if he arrives, but I can kinda, sorta see how this would help a couple of positions at one time. Too bad it wouldn't be for the CL, though
INdeed.

We all know that Llorente is allegri´s top choice... and he knows that Llorente is not at place in this set up. Also, like you said..Tevez dropping so much seems to favor him but hurts our attack as it zones llorente. Maybe this is indeed a band aid to fix his 4312 for now.

The Pogba-Cheesio-Vidal needs to be set in stone. I love Pirlo and all, but we need midfielders that sacrifice for the team and are there supporting the attackers by recovering balls nonstop and running like if their lives depended on it. Pirlo is not the man for this job. We csnnot be babysitting him because that plan is not cutting it anymore.

If Allegri is plannig to use this signing as a band aid...and then plan properly in the upciming summer for major signings or strategy shifts... then its OK. Im expecting any grundbreaking performance in teh CL and if we past Drtmund and we then get eliminated it will not be bad at all (of course that doesnt mean going out by being ridiculed)

But he benched pirlo before...cant compare tottis status at roma to pirlos here! Thats insane. Considering the shitstorm he endured at milan i would say he is pretty robust mentally.

Bruno Fernandes?
Franco Vázquez?( has been very good this season)
Felipe Anderson?

non serie a:

Adnan Januzaj ?
Éverton Ribeiro?
Evgen Konoplyanka? (if inter get him i will flip out, especially considering that he is going to be free)

Palermo and Lazio are both fighting for European spots this year. Why would either one of them want to give up key components of their squad?

And how much would Juve have to overpay, again, to Udinese, again, for one of their players.

Ribeiro is a 25 year old brazilian who has only played in brazil. That is a red flag for me, personally.

Januzaj is only 19 years old. There is no way Manchester United would ever, EVER, sell him to Juve.

And as far as Konoplyanka is concerned, you said it yourself that he is going to be free, so wait until they get him for free. I'm not even sure that he is an AM.

not sell but surely he's available for loan considering the limited playing time he has had this season.

But let's be honest: Allegri won't bench Pirlo for good, he's too small for that. Given that Sneijder mustn't come or we'll collapse in a spectacular way.
He needs to. Fr the sake of his 4312 and the sake of the season. Im not saying Pirlo should be frozen in time.... but lets admit it...he is not the guy to go for open play. He exposes us and slows us..while it also seal the fate of the 2 dudes around him. Is stupid.

I see you point. I think the best thing to do is to include someone like giovinco as an exchange. Giovinco is capable of playing well in these mid-table teams so they should not have a problem accepting a player swap type of deal. Januzaj can come one loan for a season but not on permanent. rather have him then sneijder

altough konoplyanka is not a traditional AM, he tends to drift inside quite a lot from LW. plus a player like him is hard to find so we MUST get him at all costs. He could fluorish here just like Vidal did 3 years ago.

it wouldn't be just a straight up player exchange for either Vazquez or Anderson, especially the latter. Serious money would have to be given to Lazio in order for them to even think about it

My comparison stands still. Totti is bigger than Garcia and Pirlo is bigger than Allegri. He did it before at Milan and now he's afraid of doing it here at Juve. Especially after the supercup loss I think.

I love Pirlo, one of my most favorite players ever but he's not delivering it anymore with so many games as starter. On the other hand Marchisio has been very good for us this season and we looked very comfortable with him as DM. We have to look at the two and compare which one gives us more and IMO it's Marchisio.
The time when we'll have to move away from Pirlo is nearly here IMO and Allegri has to try out more offensive approach to make up for the lack of Pirlo but on the other hand Vidal - Marchisio - Pogba is a dream midfield in our situation.

Allegri recently stated that Pirlo must be used carefully, rested for important matches.

If that doesn't sound "bench" I don't know what will.

It's not just about Pirlo though. We know Pirlo's weaknesses but the problem is that he's also benching Marchisio, who at DM, is possibly one of the better ones you will find. Just sublime at stopping counters, excellent at releasing the ball quickly. Has no real weaknesses at DM. Even his corners are better than Pirlo's.

People say we're slow because we lack pace. It's true we're not the fastest team but we still have players that can run ffs. People always say Pirlo dictates the pace of the game. Well, use common sense and understand that he will always dictate his team to play at his pace, which is slow.

I'm sure most people on this forum can recognize we play faster without him.

We still have that conte stamp on us. take it slow, build from back and "try" to score. This needs to change, we need fresh creative players who can attack at the defence without the help of fullbacks or CMs. Pirlo centeinly is not the problem, actually he is probably our only source of creatvity but the fact that he is soo deep it allows defences adjust to the situations. We need an element of surprise to opposition which btw inter had against us.

Sneijder won't help solve this problem.
