A bunch of my mates are trying to get the website http://www.stig.com/ but it's being squatted on by one of those web search thingies. How do we go about buying it off them? How much would it cost? And do jelly and peanut butter really taste good together?

It varies between places. The only thing you can do is contact them...

These people get the old domains to make a profit, they won't sell you the domain without making something off the sale IMO.
